Infineon’s latest switched-mode power supply (SMPS), TLF51801ELV, is a synchronous step-down controller with adjustable output voltage. It is capable of providing 2A to 10A of output current by driving external high- and low-side switches with duty cycles of more than 99 percent. The switching frequency can be adjusted within a range of between 100kHz and 700kHz. It can also be synchronized with an external clock. TLF51801ELV also features an ENABLE function for ultra-low shut-down current and provides two different options for current limitation (external shunt resistor or the RDS(on) of the high-side switch).
TLF51801ELV is available in a thermally enhanced, RoHS-compliant SSOP-14 package with an exposed pad.
