Infineon's new integrated power management IC features 800 V avalanche rugged CoolMOS™ technology. CoolSET™ ICE3AR0680VJZ is a modified version of ICE3ARxx80JZ in a DIP-7 package.
The VJZ series features input OVP but is not equipped with brownout or external protection enabled features. ICE3AR0680VJZ runs at 100 kHz and comes with input OVP, 800 V MOSFET CoolMOS™ technology and a startup cell. It delivers the high voltage margin associated with MOSFETs as well as lowest standby power, selectable burst level and reduced output ripple during burst mode.
Other highlights include robust protection (OVP), accurate maximum power control for both maximum power and burst power, low EMI with frequency jitter, soft gate drive as well as built-in and flexible protection features.
