    Introduction
    Differential signal paths are becoming a popular way to improve system
    performance. A differential signal has
    twice the amplitude for a given supply
    level. Interference from other components, digital clocks for example,
    become common mode signals and
    are rejected by the amplifiers in the
    differential signal chain. Hence, with a
    differential signal path, dynamic range
    can be maintained while the supply
    voltage is reduced.
    Differential output op amps are
    one means of providing gain, buffering, and filtering in these signal
    paths, but often at the price of added
    complexity and board real estate. A
    circuit using a differential output
    op amp typically requires twice the
    number of resistors and capacitors ...
