1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This drawing describes device requirements for MIL-STD-883 compliant, non-JAN class level B microcircuits in accordance with MIL-PRF-38535, appendix A. 1.2 Part or Identifying Number (PIN). The complete PIN is as shown in the following example: 5962-89544 01 G A Drawing number Device type Case outline Lead finish (see 1.2.1) (see 1.2.2) (see 1.2.3) 1.2.1 Device type. The device type identify the circuit function as follows: Device type Generic number Circuit function 01 OP-97 Low-power high precision operational amplifier 1.2.2 Case outlines. The case outlines are as designated in MIL-STD-1835 and as follows: Outline letter Descriptive designator Terminals Package style G MACY1-X8 8 Can P GDIP1-T8 or CDIP2-T8 8 Dual-in-line 1.2.3 Lead finish. The lead finish is as specified in MIL-PRF-38535, appendix A. 1.3 Absolute maximum ratings. Positive supply voltage (+VS) ... +20 V dc Negative supply voltage (-VS) ... -20 V dc Input voltage (VIN) .. ±20 V dc 1/ Differential input voltage ... ±1 V dc 2/ Differential input current .. ±10 mA 2/ Maximum power dissipation (PD) ... 500 mW 3/ Output short circuit duration .. Indefinite Storage temperature range ... -65°C to +150°C Lead temperature range (soldering, 60 seconds) ... +300°C Junction temperature (TJ) ... +150°C Thermal resistance, junction-to-case (θJC) ... See MIL-STD-1835 Thermal resistance, junction-to-ambient (θJA): Case G .. 150°C/W Case P .. 119°C/W ______ 1/ For supply voltages less than ±20 V, the absolute maximum input voltage is equal to the supply voltage. 2/ The inputs are protected by back-to-back diodes. Current limiting resistors are not used in order to achieve low noise. Differential input voltages greater than ±1 V will cause excessive current to flow through the input protection diodes unless limiting resistance is used. 3/ Derate linearly 7.1 mW/°C above TA = +80°C for G package. Derate linearly 6.7 mW/°C above TA = +75°C for P package. Must withstand the added PD due to short circuit test; e.g., IOS.
