CONFIDENTIAL KP276C1505 Digital Absolute Pressure Sensor Functional description
The message transmitted by the KP276C1505 contains two fast channels. Each channel is segmented in 3 data nibbles; every nibble includes 4 bits. The 12-bit pressure information is transmitted by the first fast channel, the 12-bit temperature information of the NTC by the second fast channel. 846 µs V SENT 1st fast channel 2nd fast channel 12 – 27 12 – 27 12 – 27 12 – 27 12 – 27 12 – 27 12 – 27 12 – 27 56 ticks 12 –128 ticks ticks ticks ticks ticks ticks ticks ticks ticks MSN MidN LSN LSN MidN MSN time nibble 1 2 3 1 2 3 nibble nibble nibble pulse nibble nibble nibble data data data data data data pulse nibble synchronization status & communication pressure pressure pressure temperature temperature temperature CRC pause MSN: most significant nibble (bit 11:8) MidN: middle nibble (bit 7:4) LSN: least significant nibble (bit 3:0)

The pause pulse is used to create a SENT transmission with a constant frame length of 282 clock ticks (846 µs).
1.6.2.1 Nibble specification
A nibble contains 4-bit data content. The length of a nibble defines the content of the 4 bits. The global timing of a nibble is based on ticks. The length of a tick is specified as 3 µs. The following formula defines the number of ticks (nticks) based on the nibble content (datanibble): nticks = 12 + datanibble
