0.5 dB LSB GaAs MMIC 6-BIT DIGITAL VARIABLE GAIN AMPLIFIER w/ SERIAL CONTROL, DC - 1 GHz Pin Descriptions
Pin Number Function Description Interface Schematic T The pins are not connected internally; however, all data shown 1, 5, 9, 14, M N/C herein was measured with these pins connected to RF/DC 16, 23, 28 ground externally. This pin is DC coupled. An off chip DC blocking capacitor is L - S 2, 20 RFin1,RFin2 required. ITA RF output and DC bias (Vcc) for the output stage of the IG 4, 22 RFout1, RFout2 amplifiers. Amplifier bias provided via external bias tee as shown in application circuit. S - D These pins and package bottom 3, 7, 18, 21 GND must be connected to RF/DC ground. R IE These pins are DC coupled and matched to 50 Ohms. 6, 19 ATTin, ATTout Blocking capacitors are required. Select value based on lowest frequency of operation. LIF P 8, 10, ACG1, ACG2, External capacitors to ground is required. Select value for M 11, 12, ACG3, ACG4, lowest frequency of operation. Place capacitor as close to 13, 15, ACG5, ACG6, ACG7 pins as possible. 17 IN A 24 SEROUT Serial input data delayed by 6 clock cycles. A 25, 26 PUP2, PUP1 30 CLK LE G Refer to truth tables and serial control interface diagram. B 31 SERIN IA R 32 LE A V 29 P/S Apply +5V for normal operation. 27 Vdd Supply voltage I F nf o or r p mati r o in cfe ur , d nish e e l d iv b e y r A y a nalo n g d t Devi o p ces i la s c bele o ieve rd d t e o rbs e : H acc iutrtatite e M and ic reli rao bl w e. a H v o e C wever o , nrp o For price, delivery, and to place orders: Analog Devices, Inc., responsibility is assumed by Analog Devices for its use, nor for any infringements of patents or other oration, 2 Elizabeth Drive, Chelmsford, MA 01824 One Technology Way, P.O.
