Carefully read the Datasheet DISTANCE RANGE FOR RELATIVE Iout> 20% (mm) 0 to 5 We look at Fig. 9 distance maximum 10mm Based on this, you have to choose "where to shove" this toy. In addition, there is no protection from external illumination.
