Default STM3F0 debug probe connection on-the-fly

I'm using STM32 for the first time and I'm wondering if it's possible to connect to the MCU using a debugging probe "on the fly" without stopping the code execution or restarting the chip.
I have a module with an MCU connected to the host system, which gives the module a special startup sequence (as well as power) to run the code.
I will need to wait until everything is "booted", and then connect the test debugger to the MCU to read (and change) a couple of variables.
If that does not work, I'll do UART.

Technically it is possible, whether Keil supports it, I don't know, but it may be worth keeping trying.

It's been a while since I've used an STM32 but I had to do exactly this on an ADuCM320 recently, using Keil.
