Intersil Launches the World's Lowest Power Low-Noise Reference

Intersil ISL21007 ISL21009

Intersil Corporation announced the ISL21007 voltage reference. This reference, part of Intersil’s newly launched pinPOINT™ Precision Analog Product Line, delivers low-noise performance at 4μVpp (0.1Hz to 10Hz) and low supply current at 150μA (max over temperature). This device, with an input voltage range from 2.7 V to 5.5 V is an ideal choice for portable instrumentation applications where power and noise are a concern.

ISL21007

Intersil’s ISL21007 sets a new standard for power savings among low-noise voltage references on the market. Earlier this year, Intersil’s ISL21009 set the industry standard at 180 μA (max over temperature) with 4 μVpp (0.1 Hz to 10 Hz). The ISL21009 has an input voltage range of 3.5 V to 16.5 V and is designed for industrial applications that operate with a 15 V supply rail. Both of these devices consume at least four times less supply current than any competitive low-noise voltage reference.

The superior performance of the ISL21007 doesn’t end with the power consumption to noise performance ratio. In keeping with Intersil’s pinPOINT™ product line’s commitment to unwavering accuracy over time and temperature, this device delivers guaranteed initial accuracy of ±0.5 mV and less than 3 ppm/°C of temperature drift. This enables the ISL21007 to deliver precise measurements for data acquisition applications in noisy environments with severe temperature variations.

Pricing and Availability
The ISL21007 is available now in an 8-lead SOIC package and is priced at $4.04 for the 3 ppm/° B version, $3.74 for the 5 ppm/° C version, and $2.65 for the 10ppm/° D version. All pricing is in 1,000-unit quantities.
