CG1950 - GPS/GLONASS single chip

ST-Ericsson CG1950

General Description

Pushing the boundaries of innovation for mobile device technology, ST-Ericsson delivers the industry smallest 45nm highly integrated GPS/GLONASS solution. The CG1950 is suited for battery operated handheld mobile devices uses GPS and GLONASS satellites constellation to provide a more accurate location for emergency services, mapping, navigation and Location Based Service (LBS) applications in cellular phones, PND’s, digital cameras and camcorders.

With state of the art on chip integration, the CG1950 requires only 2 external components, making it smaller than currently available solutions. With backward GNSS software compatibility with ST-Ericsson CG2900 and GNS7560 solutions, manufacturers will be able to include GPS/GLONASS functionality with relative ease for faster time-to-market.
