Application Notes

  • AN-828 Increasing the High Speed Torque of Bipolar Stepper Motors (Rev. B)
PDF, 1.1 Mb, Revision: B, File published: May 6, 2013
This application report shows that increasing the slew rates of the winding currents in a bipolar stepper motor pushes the motor to deliver more torque at high speeds. Simple voltage drives, L/R drives, and chopper drives are explained. L/R drives and chopper drives achieve slew rates higher than those achieved by simple voltage drives. Finally, an example chopper drive is presented.
  • AN-694 A DMOS 3A, 55V, H-Bridge: The LMD18200 (Rev. C)
PDF, 604 Kb, Revision: C, File published: Apr 26, 2013
This application note provides information on the LMD18200, which is optimized to work for applicationsthat require 0.5A to 3.0A and operate from 12V to 55V.
