Application Notes
- Doubling the Power with Ganged TPS2062/TPS2066PDF, 170 Kb, File published: Aug 4, 2004
The TPS2062/TPS2066 devices are dual-channel, 1-A, power-distribution switches that are intended for applications where heavy capacitive loads and short circuits are likely to be encountered. These devices incorporate 70-milliohm, N-channel MOSFET power switches for power-distribution systems that require multiple power switches in a single package. When output load exceeds current-limit threshold - A Power-Distribution Switch With Latched Over-Current Protection (Rev. A)PDF, 99 Kb, Revision: A, File published: Jul 3, 2007
Power-distribution switches, like the TPS203x, operate in retry mode in an overload, but some applications require the switch to latch off. The latch-off function can be implemented using the simple circuit described in this application report.
