The circuit board used in this application should use Item Description & P RF circuit design techniques. Signal lines should J1 - J2 PCB Mount SMA Connector R have 50 ohm impedance while the package ground J3 2 mm DC Header A leads and exposed paddle should be connected C1 0.8 pF Capacitor, 0402 Pkg. E directly to the ground plane similar to that shown. C2 1.0 pF Capacitor, 0402 Pkg. IN A sufficient number of via holes should be used to C3, C6 100 pF Capacitor, 0402 Pkg. L connect the top and bottom ground planes. The C4 3.9 pF Capacitor, 0402 Pkg. evaluation board should be mounted to an appropri- C5 15 pF Capacitor, 0402 Pkg. ate heat sink. The evaluation circuit board shown is C7, C8 2.2 μF Capacitor, Tantalum available from Hittite upon request. L1 12 nH Inductor, 0402 Pkg. L2 20 nH Inductor, 0402 Pkg. R1 5.1 Ohm Resistor, 0402 Pkg.
