The Texas Instruments SimpleLink Wi-FI CC3000 BoosterPack (CC3000BOOST) is an add-on board designed to bring Wi-FI to the MSP430 LaunchPad. The CC3000 BoosterPack and MSP-EXP430G2 Bundle (MSP-EXP430G2-CC3000BOOST) combines both the CC3000 BoosterPack and the MSP430 LaunchPad in a specially-priced package. It is also compatible with the Tiva C Series TM4C123G LaunchPad.

The LaunchPad development kit is a part of the MSP430 Value Line series. LaunchPad has an integrated DIP target socket that supports up to 20 pins, allowing MSP430 Value Line devices to be dropped into the LaunchPad board. Also, an on-board flash emulation tool allows direct interface to a PC for easy programming, debugging, and evaluation. Included are free and downloadable software development environments for writing and debugging software. LaunchPad can be used to create interactive solutions thanks to its on-board push buttons, LEDs, and extra input/output pins for easy integration of external devices.

The CC3000 BoosterPack is based on TI’s SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3000 module. The CC3000 module enables simplified Wi-Fi connectivity for Internet-of-Things MCU-based applications and comes with a full suite of support tools for faster time-to-market. Additionally through its unique SmartConfig technology, the CC3000 delivers an easy one-click network set up for end-users.
