4.1. Learning Button Usage
Image: The RX480E receiver module with its learning button, illustrating the number of presses required to set different operating modes. The "Learning Button" on the RX480E receiver is used to set the working mode and initiate the pairing process with a transmitter.
Press Once:
Sets Momentary Mode (Inching mode).
Press Twice:
Sets Toggle Mode (Self-Lock Mode).
Press Three Times:
Sets Latched Mode (Interlock Mode).
4.2. Mode Descriptions Momentary Mode (Inching Mode):
When a transmitter button is pressed, the corresponding receiver output is active. The output becomes inactive immediately when the button is released. This is suitable for applications like momentary door opening or light activation.
Toggle Mode (Self-Lock Mode):
When a transmitter button is pressed, the corresponding receiver output becomes active and stays active even after the button is released. Pressing the same button again will deactivate the output. This is ideal for on/off control of lights or devices.
Latched Mode (Interlock Mode):
When a transmitter button is pressed, its corresponding receiver output becomes active, and all other active outputs on the receiver are deactivated. The output remains active until another button on the paired transmitter is pressed. This mode is useful for selecting one of multiple options, such as controlling different garage doors where only one should be open at a time.
4.3. Pairing Process
1.
Clear Existing Programming (Optional but Recommended):
Press the "Learning Button" on the RX480E receiver
eight (8) times
. The receiver's LED will flash several times, indicating that all previously learned transmitters have been cleared. Wait a few seconds for the process to complete.
