Infineon is launching a new family of modules designed specifically for photovoltaic string and multi-string inverters. The new devices optimize the efficiency and performance of inverters. They can be assembled quickly and without solder using Infineon´s proven PressFIT technology.
The new family includes 3-level inverter and flexible booster modules for 3-phase photovoltaic inverters. These modules are suitable for PV inverters with a maximum DC input voltage of 1000V, maximum efficiency above 98 percent and an output power of up to 25kVA. Three inverter modules – each one with a 3-level phase leg assembly – can be combined with as many booster modules as required. State-of-the-art chips such as Infineon’s HighSpeed 3 IGBTs ensure outstanding efficiency and performance. Module types with SiC diodes are also available and up to four MPP trackers can be used with just one booster module.
