Alereon Introduced Ultra Wide Band Chipset That Transfers 1 Gb Data In Less Than 30 s


Alereon has introduced its new Ultra Wide Band chipset that can transfer 1GB data wireless less than 30 seconds at the 2nd International ComBCon(Communication and Broadcasting Convergence Exhibition & Conference). With this Ultra Wide Band technology, you can transfer data at the speed of 480 Mbps, a rate equivalent to that of the existing USB 2.0 standard. Practically speaking, it means that you can transfer 1GB data wirelessly less than 30 seconds. This chip is tiny enough to be applied to mobile devices and it is going to be presented at CES 2006.
