Panasonic Announces the Release of the Chip-type EMI/ESD Filter Used in Signal Lines

Effective against both electromagnetic wave noise and electrostatic discharge with a single component, first in the industry.

Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has released the chip-type EMI/ESD filter which reduces electromagnetic wave noise (EMI) as well as for suppressing electrostatic discharge of signal lines of mobile phones, etc.

Components effective against electromagnetic wave noise as well as electrostatic discharge of signal lines of mobile phones etc. have been required to be more compact, more effective for suppressing noise as well as to improve quality of transmission signal waves. To meet the market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has developed the chip-type EMI/ESD filter effective against both electromagnetic wave noise and electrostatic discharge with a single compact component (0805 size: (L) 2.0 mm (W) 1.25 mm (H) 0.65 mm), first in the industry.

Features

1. EMI filters and varistors are built in a single package, first in the industry(*1), suitable for measures for reducing electromagnetic wave noise as well as for suppressing electrostatic discharge of signal lines.

   EMI filter (4-circuits) and varistors (4-elements) are built in a 0805-sized package.

2. Distributed-constant circuit design, offering noise reduction effective in a wider frequency band
