Holtek is delighted to announce the release of its new generation of low dropout voltage linear regulators with low quiescent current, the HT75Rxx-1 and HT75Rxx-7 series. Designed for low power applications, these new devices support a wide input voltage range from 3.1 V to 30 V and provide several fixed output voltages from 2.1 V to 12.0 V. The devices also provide a maximum output current of 150 mA and an output capacitance as small as 1 μF. The devices are suitable for a wide range of portable products and other applications requiring high output voltage accuracy such as battery-powered equipment, communication equipment, audio or video equipment, etc.
These new devices have optimized transient response capability to ensure stable system operation even under input voltage or load changes. The HT75Rxx-1 device has a quiescent current of only 1 μA and an output voltage accuracy of ±1% to provide better performance and power consumption. In addition to a quiescent current of 2.5 μA and an output voltage accuracy of ±2%, the HT75Rxx-7 device also provides an independent enable control pin (CE) to reduce the quiescent current to 0.1 μA, and includes an integrated output fast discharge function. The HT75Rxx-7 device also supports over current protection (OCP) and over temperature protection (OTP) to provide comprehensive power protection for battery-powered systems, and can effectively replace the existing HT75xx-7 series of devices. With regard to packaging, the SOT89 and SOT23-5 package types are available.
