Oxford Semiconductor USB Controllers Achieve USB-IF High-Speed Peripheral Certification

Oxford Semiconductor

Oxford Semiconductor Inc. has announced that its OXU121HP and OXU200 high-speed USB controllers have been compliance certified by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). Compliance testing was carried out at the USB-IF Compliance Workshop in Santa Clara, California and both products have been added to the Forum’s compliant product list. Certification validates product compliance and interoperability with USB-enabled consumer electronics.

The USB-IF certification confirms that the Oxford Semiconductor products meet the full specification requirements of a high-speed USB peripheral controller and that they offer maximum interoperability with other USB-enabled products.

The OXU121HP is a combined full-speed host, high-speed peripheral and OTG controller, while the OXU200 is a high-speed, peripheral only controller. Both devices are targeted at consumer electronics requiring high data throughput, such as smart phones, PDAs, personal navigation/GPS devices and portable media players.
